COMMUNITY RESOURCE EXCHANGE
Community Resource Exchange believes that the talent, leadership and skills to solve today’s social problems can be found in the communities of New York City. Founded in 1979, CRE is a nonprofit organization that provides management consulting to an array of community-based organizations committed to helping people affected by poverty and HIV/AIDS. For over two decades, CRE has worked with the leadership of more than 2,500 community groups to increase the quality, productivity, and effectiveness of their organizations, and in turn, strengthen the neighborhoods they serve.
We would like to congratulate Albanian American Women’s Organization on their 10th Anniversary. The impact they have on the community they serve is tremendous. Under Shqipe’s leadership AAWO has helped to give a voice to the women they serve. We are delighted to be an honoree at this year’s celebration.

THE NEW YORK FOUNDATION
The New York Foundation is proud to support the Albanian American Women's Organization.
The Foundation supports groups in New York City that are working on problems of urgent concern to residents of disadvantaged communities and neighborhoods. We are particularly interested in start-up grants to new, untested programs that have few other sources of support. We are enthusiastic admirers of the resilience and energy of New York's neighborhoods. We believe the vitality of its neighborhoods is the city's greatest resource.
